Everything may not be back to normal just yet, but there's plenty to enjoy across the Isle during spring.

Get Active

Winter has passed, so now's the time to get out there and get active. The Viking Coastal Cycle Trail is the best way to discover Thanet and catch the best views. At the same time, the Isle has some excellent golf courses such as Stonelees, North Foreland, and St Augustines, or you can take on one of the many mini-golf courses across the coast.

The beaches and bays are perfect locations for getting active too, you can enjoy runs and walks along the bays, or you can get in the water to swim, surf, and sail.

Relax

After what has been a hectic year, make spring your season to recover. There is a range of yoga, Thai chi, pilates, and meditation practices on the Isle for you to use and unwind. If you're looking to enjoy a day at the spa, you will not need to travel far either, with many options to choose from across the Isle.

Just being beside the seaside can help you to relax, studies have shown that living with sea views can lead to greater mental wellbeing and lower levels of psychological stress.

Enjoy open spaces

Across Thanet, you can enjoy some stunning views, fantastic nature reserves, and the best locations to catching the sunshine. There are plenty of coastal views to enjoy from bays such as Kingsgate Bay, Botany Bay, Viking Bay, and Minnis Bay, as well as the picturesque sunsets at Margate Sands.

Monkton nature reserve is filled with wildlife while being a great day out for the family, and there are many parks and gardens filled with green spaces, such as King George VI Park and Pierremont Park.

Local Food and Drink

With beer gardens and outdoor dining now allowed, you must try some of Thanet's best produce. At the Margate Sun Deck and Old Market, there is a range of street food options for you to choose from, such as The Burrito Box and The Po'boy Creole Fish Hut, among others to enjoy.

Beer gardens such as The Belle Vue Tavern, The Minnis Bay Bar, and The Rose in June will keep you refreshed too. Ramsgate is also home to one of the UK's best fish and chip shops called Newington Fish Bar.
