Summer is officially here, and to celebrate, we're naming some of the new faces who are coming to Thanet bringing fresh flavours and high-quality hospitality to the isle. Take a look below to see what's coming to Thanet this summer for locals and travelers on the isle to enjoy.

The world's smallest ice cream parlour to open in Ramsgate.

New frozen treat business Ring Ring Ice Cream will open its ice cream parlour out of two renovated phone boxes outside the pavilion in Ramsgate on June 22nd. Owner Danny Montilla bought the two phone boxes at auction and has since refurbished them ready for his new business.

This unique parlour may be small, but he plans to offer deserts that are 'larger than life' while bringing a fresh approach to seaside ice cream. Expect fun ingredients, quirky decorations, and ice creams that look fit for any Instagram story.

More Michelin star experience coming to the Thanet coast.

A new pop-up restaurant will open in Ramsgate this summer on July 8th, launched by a chef with experience in some of the UK's most prestigious kitchens. Jack Hancock has worked under Michelin star chefs in Manchester and England but now plans to bring fine dining to the people of Thanet in 'pop-up' style.

His new pop-up restaurant called 'Hearth' plans to offer a short but expertly curated menu, promising to bring fresh flavours through his take on seasonal British food. It's unknown whether this will be a permanent fix as of yet, but for this summer, locals will be able to enjoy London's quality fine dining from the comfort of the Thanet coast.

A stunning new bar opens in Broadstairs.

On May 17th, a new bar and lounge called Reign opened its doors in Broadstairs for the first time. The all-day bar offers guests a breakfast experience in the morning, moving to afternoon teas and finally offering a high-quality bar and lounge experience in the evenings. Margate-based design studio Lifeform Design was behind the interior of the building, creating a modern deco style with bold use of colour.

Many will be enjoying a drink or two in the new bar and lounge this summer, located a mere stroll from Viking Bay. For a pleasant few drinks in a quaint, urban lounge, Reign is now the go-to place in Thanet.
